Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau
5.0
Dividing Eden has it all, magic, a sort of Medival steampunk vibe, cursed royalty, and a fight to the death between two characters who love each other and are related by blood! What more could you ask for? Oh, you say you want a plot to dethrone the King and his line of succession? Done! Scary monsters that threaten not only the survival of the court but also the kingdom as a whole by being disemboweled and torn the shreds? Done! Women who can fight? This book has it, with a stiletto no less!
The story is told from the point of view of fraternal twins, Carys and Andreus and I love being able to get into the head of both characters, though I will admit a soft spot for Carys because she just kicks ass! This book takes twists and turns that will give you whiplash, but also make you ooooo and ahhhh. Needles to say, I devoured the whole thing in less than a day and started on book 2!
Highly recommend it to anyone who likes any of the things I mentioned in the first paragraph! Also to people like myself who love tales about family and siblings.
