Doctor Who: Interference - Book One: Shock Tactic by Lawrence Miles

If I hadn't been told that I need to read this (and, sigh, the second part of it) in order to follow the rest of the EDA series, I would have abandoned this book fairly early on. Like the previous book of Lawrence Miles' that I've read, Alien Bodies, Interference is convoluted and wanky and kind of smug about that. Also, a bit background-level racist in a very '90s way.
