Low Road West #1 by Miquel Muerto, Flaviano, Phillip Johnson

2.0

a decently strong and straightforward start to a series. we don't know much about the characters' personal lives, feelings, and motivations yet, but we understand that their decisions in any given situation are largely influenced by survival. we know the landscape is post-apocalyptic and there are numerous threats out there in the desert wilderness, but we don't know exactly who those threats are or why the midwest has turned into a barren desert. for an introduction, it draws you in without holding your hand and leaves you wanting to find answers to every question it presents.
