Brown Is Warm, Black Is Bright by Sarah L. Thomson, Keith Mallett

4.0

This picture book has lovely illustrations and gentle, rhythmic text. The autumn scenery will give this book seasonal appeal, but it is also good for sharing with kids year-round, since the fall weather isn't essential to the plot. This is great for teaching kids about colors, building racial self-confidence, and showing a father/daughter bond.
