Oblivion by Anthony Horowitz

Wow. Talk about an explosive ending! At first I was wondering if it was necessary to have all our heroes split apart and need to find each other again. But this actually set up my favourite book in the series, with each character having their own new adventure in a new place with new hurdles and circumstances. This led to insane action, near escapes, and wicked betrayals.

Everyone finished their arcs and became layered characters, and I have to say I will miss many of them. Particularly Jamie and Richard! Many of the villains were positively devious and the monsters were terrifying. I wasn't sure who all would standing in the end. There was no shortage of heartache and tragedy by the end, and I was constantly tense about who might make it out alive.

This has been an engaging series with a lot of unique elements and fierce action sequences. I had a great time reading it and recommend it to anyone looking for a YA book reminiscent of a Hollywood blockbuster. It was simply fun!
