Cowboy in a Kilt by Kait Nolan

3.0

I bought this on the Chirp $1 audiobook deal day based on the title alone. I mean come on. A cowboy. In a kilt. Clearly I needed to know.

Robbed of his rightful inheritance of his family's ranch in Texas, Raleigh flies to Vegas to let off some steam and ensure he doesn't do anything dumb at home. When there, he ends up in a conversation with a Scottish stranger. She invites him to a private poker game where he ends up winning a Scottish estate and with it, a barony and a forced marriage. The old family pact tied to the land means he will have to marry Kyla, who's currently in a relationship. Both are willing to do what they need to in order to follow the terms, but it will be a marriage of convenience only. Except, do marriages of convenience ever actually stay that way?!

Read if you like:
✅ Cowboy romance
✅ Scottish settings and accents
✅ Marriage of convenience

This was fun and cute. I didn't get the entire loophole bit in the pact, but it was still an entertaining read. Much more than I thought I'd get out of this.
