I read this book very quickly while waiting for the bus and I had so much fun!
In this comic, Aang needs to fight the fire nation while he’s searching for airbenders. It’s another ‘side quest’ on the tv series, but since the comic is so short, this is very nice. No other background information other than the show is needed, which makes it very approachable and easy to follow. The main characters are present and the idea of the fire nation attacking is present, that’s all you need to know to be able to follow the story.
What I liked as well is that the drawings are in the exact same style as the show and the style of speaking as well, so it really read as if I was watching TV.
The only thing I felt could’ve been more elaborate is the story itself. I understand that this comic was free for national comic book day and that it’s not supposed to be very long, but I felt as if some parts were rushed over and emphasis on important aspects was lacking. I could still easily follow and understand the story, but I felt that I could’ve enjoyed it more if the story was about 10-15 pages longer.

I added this to my Kindle on Stuff your kindle day and I would absolutely recommend! (But only if you’ve already seen the tv show!)
