Dark Matter by Blake Crouch

5.0

I've thought about this and there really is no way to explain in words how I felt about this book, so instead I'll use GIFs.

First I was like

hmm, ohhh OK, yeah I'm into this

Then I was like

whaaa?

And at the end I was like

sfjrzjgypf

But the entire time, I was like

YAAAAS

So now you get it. But let me try to expand.

"I suppose we’re both just trying to come to terms with how horrifying infinity really is."

This quote (which I love by the way) really sums up what this book is about. It's about the vastness of the multiverse, of human experience, the choices we make and the regrets we hold on to. I don't know whether this book is truly unique or whether I just don't read enough of this genre, but it was unlike anything I've ever read before. It was a wild ride from start to finish and I loved every minute of it.

If anyone knows of anything similar (I'm thinking maybe Douglas Adams? And Philip K. Dick?), please recommend it to me! Also, read this book. You won't regret it. Though your brain might hurt for a while after.
