About a Vampire by Lynsay Sands

4.0

This book was funny. Justin is a great side character and it’s great to see his romance.

He falls for Holly, who falls on a pair of scissors while running. Yep. This is almost the dumbest way to die but I did read a vampire novel where the heroine died in a freak ultimate frisbee accident, so there’s that.

But Holly is married and it’s a big no no to break up marriages for life mates, so Justin has to train Holly in vampire ways so she can go home to her husband. There’s a lot of angst, you know, because Holly loves her husband and doesn’t want to commit adultery. For all the angst, it’s resolved nicely, but conveniently in the end.

Four stars, because it made me laugh how clueless Justin was about how to win Holly over and his ideas going horribly wrong.

Free on kindle unlimited, even though the rest of her books aren’t.
