Vision, Volume 2: Little Better Than a Beast by Tom King

5.0

Every now and then, I run into books that I want to buy multiple copies of, so that I can shove them at everyone I know and cry "READ THIS! FEEL THINGS WITH ME!" Tom King's "The Vision" is the newest addition to that list.

I was worried about this volume. After being so unexpectedly blown away by volume 1, I was worried that the ending would be a letdown, or a cop-out, or get lost in Civil War II madness, or otherwise fall short of such a spectacular, heart-wrenching story. I have read so-many almost-great work that are marred by a botched ending. I should not have worried. The series wraps up as beautifully, emotionally, and hauntingly as I had hoped.

I appreciate the irony that a technical glitch in my Kindle brought this series front and center, when I otherwise would have never read it. I am so glad I read it instead of trying to find some wifi to download something else. I am absolutely blown away by how good this comic was.

Read this series.

No. Seriously. Read it.
