This is a wonderful childhood sweethearts story that shows the messy side a relationship can take.
I knew this book was going to be messy going into it but oh my gosh they weren’t kidding. It did take me a while to get into the book but after it started picking up I finished it quickly. The side characters were awesome at some points but I did end up disagreeing with a lot of the choices each character makes. It was really hard to want the main characters to work it out together because it’s seems like they both have a thing for self sabotage? I will say it was very refreshing to read a book where the characters weren’t all perfect.

Graphic: Alcoholism, Child abuse, Drug abuse, Drug use, and Alcohol
Moderate: Addiction, Cancer, Suicidal thoughts, and Suicide attempt
Suicide attempt is not on the page, it is just talked about between two characters
