The Survivors of the Clotilda: The Lost Stories of the Last Captives of the American Slave Trade by Hannah Durkin

challenging dark hopeful inspiring reflective sad slow-paced

4.5

The epilogue states the story of the Clotilda’s survivors is a tale of enduring tragedy and loss and also a an extraordinary account of survival and endurance. After reading this book, I couldn’t agree more. Read this book. It was a slow read for me because I kept looking back at the maps and reading the notes. I will never forget the survivors amazing story.
