It's honestly just a hell of a lot of fun. The pacing is still break-neck, but the characters are wonderful and hilarious. You have to suspend some disbelief at the coincidences - all the different plots and people lining up so perfectly - but it doesn't ruin my enjoyment of a thing.
Jeff's possessiveness - and his paternalistic insistence that Kitty stay on the sidelines - does get on my nerves a bit. But not so much that it hurt the fun. Just enough that I'd like to give him a kick in the junk.

Kitty is established as a pretty brilliant character, putting the pieces together faster than anyone else. It's hard for me to believe she didn't realize what was happening with Jeff's sudden personality change... especially when the pieces were so obvious that I could easily see it. She's usually at least as fast as the reader, and often much faster.More, please!
