 **spoiler alert** I just wanted a cute story about a kid and his horse, man!! I knew going in it was mostly episodic, and I really enjoyed the structure! Every night before bed I read an episode. The first one was devastating, but beautifuly written. I think my favorite of Jody's stories was the third, which ended in the c section for his new pony. My stomach absolutely dropped when the field hand starting saying "oh my God, somethings wrong". The last one was good too, and overall was a good read! But what really made this special was the inclusion of Junius Matby. Oh my God, Junius is a new favorite. the obvious garden of Eden parallel was so well executed, making such a fun and cute story end on a sad note. I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time reading this story, I can't wait to recommend it to others.
