The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson
4.0

September 2022 reread review:

Still 4 stars, maybe 4.5.

Now this is what I wish all Sanderson books could do: action and plot points galore! The book is fast-paced; a lot of things happen in these 500 pages. There are questions, answers, and more questions. There is character development (more for some than others). We begin to see crossovers with other parts of Sanderson's Cosmere, if you are paying attention. Well worth a reread. (I did so in advance of this sequence's finale, The Lost Metal, being released in late 2022.)

Original Dec 2018 review:

Not much to say about this book review-wise: If you're reading Brandon Sanderson and you're on book three of a four-book series, you know what to do. My only comment will be to say that I felt like I was reading the novelization of someone's Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Hey, maybe I was! There is a Mistborn role-playing game, after all.
