I think there was way too much plot crammed into this book so I didn’t love it as much :(
I wanted more Remy/Xioadan/Malekh content that was just character/relationship development and not just plot related. There just wasn’t enough of that for me.
Plus the pacing of the book was all over the place. The first half felt so slow and the last 30% had way too much going on. The big reveals happened so fast and there were new plots coming up late into the story.
I did still enjoy my time reading this, but definitely not as much as the first book. Generally, I like how the book ended, but wasn’t satisfied with how quickly we got there. Remy, Xiaodan, and Malekh are still an iconic couple tho 🖤
