I really tried enjoying this one but in the end, I regrettably forced myself to finish it when I should have just DNF'd. It started out as such a promising ghost story and ended up feeling like the entire story revolved around some weird, contrived, fantasy relationship of a middle-aged man to a young, struggling barely 20-something-year-old woman rather than the original premise of the story-- his mysteriously deceased wife and her secrets which just felt forgotten about. Definitely left me with a creepy vibe in the end in all of the ways that I don't believe King intended. Yuck.
