No Excuses!: The Power of Self-Discipline by Brian Tracy
2.0
I listened to the audio version. I thought that most of the book is somehow interesting. And for sure it brings up a lot of thought-provoking statements and questions when it comes to motivate yourself to work efficiently or to finally reach your health goals, etc.
But some of the ideas, especially out of the relationship chapter, where seriously putting me off. I totally agree with the author that a good relationship is something we shouldn't take for granted and it needs lots of constant effort to keep functioning. But this book was written in 2011 so I think we could surely move away from old stereotypes like men and women are made to complement each other.
Also multitasking is not something humans are really good at no matter the gender. Actually it's just quick switching from one task to another and it puts the person under quite an amount of stress.
And what is this advice to not spend time alone with another person as your partner to avoid a situation that could lead to cheating. This is so incredibly antiquated.
