I loved that Chloe’s illness didn’t just go away when she and Red got together. A lot of authors make the illness or injury just disappear when the main character finally finds love but chronic illness doesn’t just go away.
Red’s wanking scene was just creepy to me though, at that point he was neither her boyfriend nor her lover so when he kept saying “if she knew she would think I was a creep”, like YES EXACTLY because you are a creep for that.
