This book seemed promising. There were parts I really liked. I'm not usually one for ghost stories. I enjoyed Anne Bonney and learning about how she is central to this family, this town, this story. I loved Gramps and how he is the central character that all the other characters in the book revolve around.

The ending leaves everything hanging and as such, is unsatisfying. Is the author hoping to drag this story out for 13 years in order to have a series? I'm not sure I'm that curious to keep reading.
