Lock Every Door by Riley Sager

1.0

Listen, this was a fast easy read. I was interested and I rarely give one stars because I usually DNF them, but what complete utter trash.

“I think every family has at least one big tragedy.”
He’s wrong there.
Mine has two.——uhh, no he said “at least”. There was a lot of bad dialogue.

Solving the mystery was way too easy for her. Things just fell into her lap.

I get it. These people are desperate, loners, but it’s rare to have somebody not connected to ANYBODY. Nobody’s family caught on to this?

How did these rich people find out about this place? People just go around advertising this? Nobody who heard about it mentioned it to the cops? Surely somebody with sway has a heart.

Jules saves Rufus, and Marianne was just cool with taking her liver without consent. Seriously, everybody is a psychopath in this building?

We’re expected to believe that Jules is a match for 3 people in the building that she knows personally that all happened to need different organs.

You also expect me to believe that an old lady who could barely make it down the stairs is out of bed a few days after a kidney transplant. I doubt she’d even live. And surely they don’t have a 100% success rate. They just explain away every one of these as natural causes?

This is just the most implausible piece of TRASH. I can let some things slide in a book especially in trillers. Things can be implausible, but this just didn’t make any sense. It was just too far out to work.

What did her sister have to do with anything???!!!
