I liked this better than [b:The Courage to Be Disliked: The Japanese Phenomenon That Shows You How to Change Your Life and Achieve Real Happiness|36622739|The Courage to Be Disliked The Japanese Phenomenon That Shows You How to Change Your Life and Achieve Real Happiness|Ichiro Kishimi|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1529404627l/36622739._SY75_.jpg|27565183], although truth be told, I don't love the format in either case, and they really needed a better translator. The dialogue feels stilted in places.

What I liked better about this one was the focus on practical, real-life application (as opposed to theory, which the first book was much heavier in), although they could have gone even further in that direction.

Overall, I'm not upset that I read these, but I don't think I will be coming back to them, and I think there are almost certainly better resources on the topics.
