“We missed midnight.”
“We didn’t miss it. It just happened without us.”

I really liked this book. I didn’t read any reviews or descriptions beyond “boy meet aliens, aliens say you have to decided weather to save the earth” so I really was expecting more sci-fi and less depressed boy, but I still enjoyed the story and read it in one sitting, which honestly is a little impressive bc I have been having a hard time focusing on books in the last few months.

It’s interesting contemplating whether this is even a sci-fi book at all. The book is written in first person, so you can’t discount Henry’s experiences bc he certainly is experiencing them, but bc it first person you could call into question if he’s actually there or just experiencing hallucinations 🤔. Henry is an unreliable narrator so it’s possible.

I always enjoy some good existentialism tho
