The Dead of Night by Peter Lerangis

3.0

While I'm continuing to enjoy this series, the books are blending together a lot, in my head. This is partially because it's been a month since I read this volume, but also because nothing really major happens in any of the books. With the previous series, each book seemed a step towards improving the relationships between the Cahill twins and the rest of their twisted family. Now, they're working together, and the only major plot points I recall are that the Kabra brother is coming to terms with the full depth of his mother being terrible, and Dan Cahill seems to be being manipulated into thinking his father both is and isn't the villain of the piece.

I'm continuing the series in a few days, but I'm getting a feeling there is a good reason why it seems this sub-series ended so much earlier than the first 39 Clues series.
