What Alice Forgot
by Liane Moriarty
As the main character hits her head, looses the last 10 years of memory (thinking shes now 29 not 39) the main story could be something of a movie drama or soap opera with a slight comical effect. However, this book was well done. I really enjoyed the depth of character of Alice, how she changes from young happily married to almost mid life crisis busy bee and getting a divorce. I am not fond of divorce, and was wondering how her happy marriage had changed so drastically. As the book opens up you learn more about who Alice has become in the last 10 years, how her relationships with her husband and family has changed too. More characters introduced like Elizabeth, Alice's sister who struggles with infertility and Alice's mom and "adopted" grandma. This book was very enjoyable, and kept me wondering and also wanting to keep my own marriage in check.
