I thought I would take a chance with this book as it sounded interesting. It was anything but interesting. Well to me anyways. I started out the book and it was slow but I thought ok I will read some more into the story and I am sure it will progress faster. It did not. In fact, I grew bored and disliked everyone in the story. After about chapter 6 and realizing that reading Jola's diary pages were more intriguing than the story, I decided to give up on the book. However not before skipping to about the last two chapters to see how it ended. I pretty much learned all I needed to about this book and what I didn't read by just reading the ending. I did not feel anything for the characters even with the ending.
