I find major floor in one aspect. The condoms. At one point it mentions “For twenty-seven years, Lennox had lived and struggled in the free land, labeled an outlaw by the Global Council” so its been nearly 30 years since the world basically ended, and these people who screw like rabbits and all have no kids can somehow bring out a condom every time they have sex? And sometimes they’re going for more than one round? Who the fuck is producing them?! It’s impossible! If Lennox and Jamie’s families had never been in the colonies one would assume there were heaps of people in the same situation and no one had found them yet. Right?

It would make sense right after the world ends, but 30 years, they wouldn’t even been in date anymore lol

Overall I didn’t enjoy this one like the first. I found both mains really frustrating. There’s literally a scene where they both jump to conclusions and she SLAPS him across the face for something he never did and when she realises nothing happened she feels remorse for like 2.5 seconds while she says sorry and then it’s nothing.

I also got annoyed that she got annoyed he was protecting her. If we saw her out and about proving she can do it, I would have been on her side, but she’s legit prancing around in dresses in a dystopian world and popping into houses on her own to pick out new clothes and jewellery like she’s at the mall. And later, when someone asks where she got the necklace she’s all smug that she stole it and forgetting that she also almost nearly got raped and murdered for it and had a hissy fit when her man got frustrated and yelled at her for being a dumbass. Because she was. I don’t think he should have yelled at him, but she complained he treated her like a useless child... while running around pouting like a child.

The romance never ended up feeling like romance to me. They just got jealous and ended up together. There were never any nice times that wasn’t sex. A nice talk or a date like event would have made them seem more in love but it was mostly just drama and it took the focus on them. To be honest I started caring much more about Xander and Kade. Bit bummed about Kade. Liked the young kids too that was cute. Unsure if I’ll continue because Reese seems a bit too stupid too with her new plan and I don’t know if I can handle that lol we will see
