Sanditon by Kate Riordan

5.0

I really enjoyed this adaptation of Jane Austen's Sanditon. It was nearly exactly the same as the TV series which I thoroughly enjoyed. Reading about Charlotte's adventure to Sanditon was beautiful and I feel like Kate Riordan captured it really well. The only bad thing I have to say was the ending. In the TV series I liked the way, Andrew Davis had ended the story, Charlotte had her goodbye with Sidney and then she got in the carriage and cried, which made me cry as I believed she and Sidney were soulmates but fate had decided against them. It was one of the most emotional scenes in the series. In this book, Riordan had added Sidney and Charlotte holding hands and said nothing about Charlotte crying in the carriage. I dislike how she changed this scene and the TV series did it really well.
