Ok, so you know how Ozymandias is the best episode of Breaking Bad & the finale is fine but like, just kind of there? That’s how this book/series was for me.
The final in a 4 book series, Reign fell a bit flat. While I loved Sam’s story, nearly everything else felt like “let’s rush & tie a nice little bow on this”.
*MINOR SPOILERS*
Nina’s story is almost perfect until they don’t close the door on her & Jeff at the very end. Beatrice’s WHOLE THING was being strong & independent & not needing a husband to rule & then she gets married anyway. Idk, this either needed to be 2 books or drop some unnecessary things (like visiting Conner? What was the point?)
