Overview
The Valley’s annual fair is all about showcasing your best produce, showing off your skills, and competing for Star Tokens. This September, we’re bringing the fair to the book community with a bingo-style reading challenge inspired by the Grange Display.
Can you build the highest-quality bookish display and earn the most points? Join us in celebrating cozy fall vibes, reading adventures, and a little friendly competition!
How it Works
- Every square starts with the Normal Quality prompt.
- As you read the prompts, you will gain access to the next quality prompt. There are four levels for each square - Normal Quality, Silver Quality, Gold Quality and Iridium Quality.
- Each quality level earns more points.
- At the end of the month, add up your score to see how your Grange Display ranks.
- Submit your final score to be included in the final rankings.

Rules
- Prompts must be completed in order by quality. Prompts can be completed in any order on the board.
- Only 1 book per prompt
- Challenge runs from September 1st to September 30th.
- If you participated in a prior month’s readathon and earned a reward, you can use it during this challenge. We will not be rewarding any “prompt” related bonuses this month.
- DNFs and books started before the month are allowed as long as 50% is read during the month. Books must be at least 100 pages!
FAQs
- FAQ - How many books do I need to read to receive a reward? You must read a minimum of 1 book during the readathon to participate. We won’t be handing out specific rewards and instead will announce a winner at the end of the challenge.
- FAQ - Can books read for one reward level or another prompt count towards another? Unfortunately, with how we have set up this readathon, you can only read 1 book for 1 prompt.
- FAQ - Do I have to fill the whole grange display board? Nope! Read as much or as little as you’d like. Your score will reflect your effort, but this is truly meant to be a fun and engaging activity versus overly competitive.
- FAQ - Can I obtain Iridium Quality in one square and Normal Quality on another? Yes! Each square is scored individually, so the number of points you will receive is wholly dependent on what you read. If you skip an entire set of prompts, you would just score that square as zero.
