2025 brings us the first ever Bujo Buddies Book Club year-long reading challenge, aka. The Year of Goober (close cousin of the Goober Readathon). Let’s get to reading!
The aim of the game is to read more in 2025. Whether you’re trying to build a new reading habit, or challenging yourself to a bit of fun, we’d love to have you with us!
How does it work?
Ghostie Goober has discovered a new hobby: flower arranging! They’ve quickly learned how to pair colours for balance, the importance of trimming stems just right, and that poison ivy does not belong in the arrangement (a lesson learned the hard way). With their newfound passion, Goober is determined to create a unique bouquet!

But our Ghostie isn’t interested in just any old bouquet — they want to create one that’s truly special, with each flower carefully chosen for its meaning. Every flower tells a story, so let’s help Ghostie Goober make it a good one.
Ghostie is going on a year-long journey, gathering flowers inspired by the monthly birth flowers and their symbolism. But arranging a bouquet this meaningful is no easy task, and our Goober could use a hand!
Each month, help Ghostie Goober select a flower for their bouquet by reading a book inspired by its meaning. Together, you’ll build a beautiful bouquet (book-quet?) that tells a story as unique as our favourite little ghost.
