Alphabet Challenge: Queer Books by BIPOC/Latinx Authors
27 participants (558 books)
Overview
I'm challenging myself mainly next year to read more books by BIPOC/Latinx writers.
Any "The/A/This" at the beginning of a title can be excluded. For a few of the more difficult letters, I changed the prompt to either having a word in the title starting with that letter, or in the case of X specifically, just have a title containing that letter.
You can include anthologies if BIPOC/Latinx creators contributed to it.
Personally, I will be looking for books with queer, preferably BIPOC/Latinx main characters written by BIPOC/Latinx creators, regardless of whether the author is queer themselves (so books with cishet or ambiguous writers may be listed here).
Other, completely valid interpretations of this list:
Both the main character(s) and the author have to be BIPOC/Latinx and queer.
The author is BIPOC/Latinx and queer but the main characters don't have to be.
I prefer fiction, especially fantasy, scifi, and historical, but I welcome nonfiction as well.
