Welcome to The StoryGraph's 2022 Read the World challenge! For the last two years we've hosted our Translation challenges to help readers broaden their literary horizons. This year, we wanted to switch things up a bit!
Lots of you have expressed a wish to read more broadly and pick up books from authors around the world. With this challenge, we hope we'll help you visit some countries (via books!) that maybe you haven't before. Plus, for a lot of them, you will have the chance to pick up something translated as well, so it's a win-win! You can read fiction or non-fiction works for this challenge - anything goes!
The goal is to read a book set in the country, by an author from that country. You can definitely read from authors in that country's diaspora too, but please try to choose books which are physically set in that country (or at least partly!). The aim is to try to get outside of the UK and US. :-)
