N. T. Wright (Nicholas Thomas Wright, born December 1, 1948) is a renowned British New Testament scholar, theologian, and author. He is best known for his work on the historical Jesus, the Apostle Paul, and Christian origins. Wright served as the Bishop of Durham (2003–2010) in the Church of England and later became Research Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
