I think this reflects still a modern day Japan culture when it comes to members of LGBTQ. However, Kyousuke's feelings of "wrongness" and "corruption" for loving other guys came from his homophobic father. And in doing so he was hurting himself and Kasumi in the process. Likewise, I wish Kasumi's character was able to find friends and a found family of his own along the way that was supportive and encouraging towards him. As it seemed without Kyousuke, Kasumi didnt have a world of his own to explore or exist in.
