I thought this was better than the last book, but I feel like this arc was more or less reiterating a lot of what's already happened. Zuko once again figures out that Uncle Iroh is the one who really cares about him and will provide him with the right guidance, and Aang once again figures out he doesn't do things the way previous avatars did, and that he needs to forge his own path. I did like the latter parts of this and was glad to see Zuko hasn't completely wandered off the path he set down toward the end of the series.

Aang and Katara are still just icky to me. I'm not like a big fan of Zuko and Mai or Suki and Sokka, but at least those four characters are all older teens.

(Am I the only one who wanted Sokka to drop down onto Zuko's war beast thingy and say, "You find it hard to deal with the pressures of being Fire Lord? That's rough, buddy?")

The end of this comic gave me goosebumps. I am so hyped to read the next installment. Honestly, I think this comic gives a well-rounded explanation for what happened after the ATLA series. The fallout of a century-long war is definitely present, and I think that makes the Avatar universe feel more real.

A very underwhelming conclusion to a very underwhelming story arc, kind of disappointing overall. Still (sort of) excited for the other installments in this comic book series.

The comics for Avatar so far have been disappointing.. So little it seems have happened. There is always a little shock at the end of the comics but other than that there isn’t anything that really sticks out.
