This is the kind of book that leaves me glad I can review it without a rating.
I will start with the basics. some of the pieces in this book are fascinating. Standouts for me include Narcissism and Dispersion in Heidegger's 1953 Trakl Interpretation, CyberGothic and critique of transcendental Miserablism. Unfortunately, much of the rest of the book is full of inarticulate raving, some of which has a draw to it that makes me shockingly aware that the human mind is capable of thinking in systems that mine does not. This does not make it good though. Not sure I can recommend it. But some of it is recommendable.

First book of 2024 and I gotta tell you . . . I wish it wasn’t. I don’t know too much about Land’s Twitter, but I understand that’s why most people dislike him. His work, on the other hand is simply weird as hell. I think he thinks he has written pieces of literal prophecy which is interesting. His adoration for the worst aspects of capitalism is fascinating and weirdly admirable and his weird pining for the end of humanity is oddly enticing. I do not agree with Land if Land is to say his future predictions are desirable. I do believe Land’s vision of the future contains some accuracies. I cannot say I enjoyed reading this, but I am glad that I did.
My favorite part is when he outrightly lies about events or people or things. I genuinely enjoyed that for some masochistic reason.

Now this isn’t for the faint of heart (which happens to be a trend when I look for books to read) but this really was a mess, in the best way possible.
