This was cute, as always! It was nice to see a different spin in having the newest hero be a decorator, very adorable!

Another fantastic lighthearted early chapter book in the Princess in Black series. Like always, the conflicts are solved by teamwork and kindness, and kids will enjoy the nudge-nudge humor of the dual identitied characters.

The Prince in Pink saves the day in this one! I don’t want to say too much because part of what makes it so wonderful is going on the journey with the Princess in Black. A wonderful addition to the series!

Five year old loves this one. I hear rave reviews of the princess in black and was excited to read about princess who was potentially less stereotypically girly. The illustrations were plentiful and great. The story really drug for me. The book felt illustration driven. The book is concerned with getting ready for a party. There isn’t character development. Idk. It felt shallow. If my kid chooses these as first readers, fine. Maybe the challenge of sounding out words would make it more interesting. But casual reading this is mind numbingly boring for me.
