If you love the podcast of the same name, you'll certainly love this book. If you are simply interested in the wacky road to modern medicine, this is still an excellent place to start! You will laugh and wince knowing what we do now.

I very much enjoy the Sawbones podcast. Sydney and Justin did a fantastic job bringing over some of the earlier episode content into this book. A super interesting read when you have time to digest it vs a podcast. Justin's humor is also found in this book, and while I enjoy listening to him more, it is still fun to see his humor in these pages.

The only reason I can't give this book five stars is for the egregious errors that many before me have already commented on. It's a bit embarrassing that a book with otherwise such commitment to quality writing, illustration, and research would fall so flat on its face in the editing department. I really hope a revised edition is released, especially so the last couple pages that are, in fact, glued together can become readable. Perhaps then I can give it the 5/5 it deserves for being a truly funny and interesting book.

Justin is not nearly as funny as he thinks he is, but this was very interesting ngl

I liked it, but the mispronunciation of medical and non medical words was killing me
