Another very satisfying issue. Art and story are strong. There’s a 70’s supernatural comics vibe that makes this title a joy to read for me.

This is a great start to a new series. I wasn’t really sure what to expect going into this one, but I have to admit I’m finding it all very interesting.
Here we have Diana desperately trying to assemble a team to help her discover what’s wrong with magic, and try to resolve it. The problem is that Diana isn’t exactly an expert on magic…and understandably nobody with magic wants to follow her lead. Still, the woman is stubborn and I’ve got to give her credit for that.
Swamp Thing, Constantine, Zantana, Man-Bat, and Bobo all make appearances in this issue, along with many other DC magic users. I’m going to pretend I didn’t find some of the points amusing (like Diana legitimately not understanding why people don’t want her to lead the team, or poke her head in magical affairs), but there’s an underlying intensity that I can’t ignore. I can’t wait to see where this all leads.

I'm not sure if this series will be for me in the longer term or not, but I definitely enjoyed this issue of it. And it made more sense to me than I recalled from #1.
