some of the stories are excellent, A Guide To Being Black was probably my favorite

A fascinating book. Told by ethnic writers who feel strangers in the land of their births and unequally at unease in the lands of their ancestors. A terrific read

A stunning collection of essays that explore the concept of the 'Good Immigrant' and the myriad of ways immigrants experience life in the UK. Each essay's unique style and topic really enables the anthology to paint a thorough, complex and bleak at times picture of what the 'immigrant experience' in Britain is like. I would absolutely, 100% recommend this book.

Amazing collection of relatable essays and short memoirs! Listened to this on audiobook and loved some of these writers writing, was simply beautiful and I found myself relating to a lot of the themes. Such important topics highlighted...highly recommemd to anyone who has a misunderstood identity and want to cry out to share their experiences.
