Read on NetGalley.

Didn't live up to the first one title, Don't Push the Button! The interactive stuff would probably be fun for kids, but doesn't hold up :(

I must have had my expectations too high. Not as fun as his other books, but still an enjoyable ride.

My daughter and I both love this book! It is so much fun!

The sentences are short, and simple, and the book is interactive.

My daughter wanted to read it multiple times, and we had so much fun spinning, wiggling, doing dinosaur rawrs, and flapping our arms!

This book is great for energetic kiddos.

Another in a long line of interactive picture books in the same vein as Herve Tullet's "Press Here." I was tempted to give it only three stars as this format is starting to feel a little overdone, but it's really a fine book.

I received an advanced copy of this book from Sourcebooks via Netgalley in exchange for a review.

Larry is a monster whose book becomes interactive with the help of those who read with him.

I'm sort of torn on this one. It reminds me of The Book with No Pictures by B.J. Novak which our 4 year olds love. I think they'd really enjoy the interactive portions of this fun book but I'm not sure how much it would stand up to re-reading. While I liked most of the interactive portions I think the parts where children are asked to run their hands all of the book could lead to a lot of torn up books. It doesn't seem like a good way to teach kids how to treat their books well. The rest of the interactions, (flap your arms, sound like a robot, dinosaur etc) were fine. I also feel like the copy of the book leads us to believe that Larry will learn to share through the book but that doesn't really happen. His method of sharing is here, I'll let you touch my book but do it like I say and oh hey you made something neat happen, here do everything else I tell you too because I like what you make happen. Eh. It might be good for a one time checkout but I wouldn't purchase it.

Interactive meta picture book that has he main character narrating asking the reader to do things that makes things happen on the next page in the book. Only thing is, I feel like it's been done (better) in other books, but bright colors and a silly monster will appeal to some kids.

Very active! Get your kids up and grooving. WARNING - use at the END of a storyhour unless you want to waste 5 minutes getting them back under control...
