“Maybe that was what real, adult love was. Being fearless enough to hold each other close no matter how catastrophic the world became.”

This was just one of those books that weighs heavy on your heart in a really beautiful way. It covers a world of topics, including race, chronic illness, self harm, addiction and hard upbringings, and painted it all in such a raw a heartbreaking light. I loved Shane and Eva — we got to see them overcome their own demons throughout the course of the book and their slow burn romance hooked me in. Overall, a really deep and touching read!
