Much more accessible, less subtle. MurderBot, for lack of a better name for this character (because, it said that's not it's public name), is taking steps to establish a new identity for itself. That includes new contacts and new trusts.

The Murderbot Diaries has been on my TBR for entirely too long. Having listened to the first installment on the opening leg of our recent road trip, we are very glad that, when I borrowed the first novella from the library, I had the foresight to download the second volume at the same time.

So, on our return trip, we got to go on Murderbot’s mission to discover how he earned his name. But, bonus of all bonuses, we also got to meet ART who immediately began competing for title of “our favorite robot.”

This was another fast-paced, quick read. Because of the snappy dialogue and rapid plot movement, it is a perfect choice for a road trip read. Be aware, though, if you have kids along for the ride, there is a now-reassigned/slaved “sex bot” as well as gun violence.

I’m in love with this series and its robots. ART has my heart.
