Ivy Wild was/is a new author to me. Beautiful Surrender was the best first book by her that I could have chosen for myself to read. Ivy Wild created these characters that take your emotions and your heart on a ride. I did not expect that I would have been grabbed and held in for dear life at the beginning of this book.
Throughout this read, we follow Aubrey and Xavier while they uncover who they really are and find themselves together in a way. We see that Aubrey is broken in a way because she is fake and cannot express who she really is or even wants to be. She pretends to be something that she is not to obey her father. Xavier is looking for control; he uses control to keep his life and the world surrounding him in order. He is a BDSM submissive trainer which works out in his favor considering he needs to have control of the world around him.
By seeing the events unfold and being relived by the characters, they were able to better understand each other and open themselves up to each other more. I cannot wait to read my next book by Ivy Wild.
