I grabbed Archie's Big Book Volume 6: High School Yearbook during one of Archie's big sales. I do not regret it.

The book is divided into three sections: one chronicling the gang's freshman year at Riverdale High, one about a new crop of 50 students hitting Riverdale, and a collection of shorts.

Freshman Year and Clash of the New Kids have a style similar to the Archie Married Life series. The stories are more developed and the art is an update of the classic Archie style but not as drastic as the modern Archie style. New characters we never hear of again are introduced and discarded. Batton Lash does the writing, may he rest in peace.

The High School Hijinks section at the end is a bunch of short classic style Archie tales done in the modern style. This was a nice palate cleanser at the end of the book.

Archie's Big Book Vol. 6: High School Yearbook isn't an essential Archie collection but it's still better than average. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I enjoyed how this book had a theme to it, unlike other Archie’s and I think it was a good book. I found the switcheroo story to be a bit sexist.
