There are so many things wrong with this book and it really isn’t very good, but there are some fun quippy lines and I enjoyed reading it in spite of myself (and the constant droning on about industrialization and the depressing state of humanity)

Zvláštní to kniha. Je pravda, že bez těch erotických scén by se dej nepohnul ani o píď, a tak chápu, že v očích některých lidí to je prostě nedůležitý lechtivý román. Ale i zbytek, prošpikovaný všemi těmi filozofickými úvahami, se mi líbil. Jediné, čím se mi špatně prokousávalo, byly úvahy o dělnictvu, jelikož té problematice nerozumím a upřímně mě ani moc nezajímá. Ale věřím, že to má nějakou hodnotu, kterou ovšem neumím posoudit.
Takový neurčitý vztah mám k "hrubé" mluvě hajného. Chápu, proč ta postava tak mluví a nejspíš i to, co se tím autor snažil naznačit, ale strašně špatně se mi to četlo. Měla jsem co dělat, abych se za každým třetím slovem neušklíbala. Tak nevím, jestli to je jenom překladem a nebo jestli je to tak podivné i v originále.
Moc nevím, jak takovéhle knihy hodnotit, ale čtyři hvězdičky si to z mého pohledu zaslouží.
