This was an absolutely exquisite read. The concept is stunning, the stories very likely told themselves. And yet, This book would not have been the magic it is without Trent intricately weaving it all together. Without his words, crafted from his typewriter, as he reflected on stories of love of all kind. Some of the phrasing took my breath away in the best way possible. This book took me ages to get through not because it was a slog, but instead because I wanted to linger in each and every story, to think about the lives that stretched out from it. To ponder what I might have shared with Trent had I found myself in Brisbane and stumbled upon his little table. To think even harder about what we all need to be telling one another. This book reminded me of the joy and love that still exist in the world. It came at a time when we all so desperately need it. It's beautiful.

With every shitty thing going on in this world, it is so refreshing to read something so positive and wholesome.

A beautiful book about the simplicity and complexity of love. Beautifully written and collated stories. I took my time absorbing this one!

Hard slog. Is there such a thing as too much romanticising love? If so, Dalton just did it. Or came extremely close.

This book was so freaking cute. I loved reading all of these cute love stories, and I loved the idea that Trent was sitting on the corner of a street just asking people about their love stories and noting them down. It is such a beautiful concept and such a lovely book to read.
