Run me like a River..
It took me a bit to warm up to the book. I just found the start of the book to be choppy. The idea of falling in love with an adult at 12 is misplaced, but it was a significant memory for River. The initial connection between the two just seemed "forced" but as Grayson spends the time to get to know her I slowly started to believe the connection. I'm not really sure if her dad would have been okay with it honestly, but it ended well.

I enjoyed the premise of this. I should have ate it up. But the heroine in this was so needy and self centred it made me almost DNF this. Considering everything that was happening around River, her father's business going under, a family member, a love interest she'd fancied for years..you'd think she'd be at least a little happy..but nope.
Is it hot in here or is it just me? But damn, is this book really a hot one! Forbidden and very much taboo. Entice is a beautifully written emotional journey that you won’t want to miss, it’s a story that captivated me from the first page til the last and I seriously didn’t want it to end.
River and Grayson were a fantastic. River is a young woman dealing with abandonment issues relating to her childhood and her mother. But she fell in love with Grayson ever since he saved her that very first moment they met.
Grayson is a workaholic who doesn’t believe that love is meant for him and he has fears of his own. He lives to work and then works some more. Both are fundamentally flawed and yet together they worked. Their chemistry was palpable and off the charts!
I'm still wondering why I haven't read much of this author's works. But after Entice, I'm not going to miss reading anymore of her works! I cannot wait to read more!
ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review.

DNF at Chapter 24. I’m not sure exactly what it was about this book I just couldn’t finish.I guess I just wasn’t into it. Might be for some people. Just not for me I guess.
Ah, I love me some great age gap romances. Something about an older man is sexy, especially when it's written well. I actually enjoyed this one since it was reasonable. River wasn't a stereotypical heroine. She was young, but didn't necessarily act that way. The only reason this isn't five stars is because the last fifteen percent was very 'eh'. The issue with her mom and the 'fight' with her dad was boring.
I was drawn to this book by the narrator and trope (Age gap romance, father's best friend). This story lagged a little for me. It felt like a slow burn and we were never going to get to the meat of the story (pun intended). Once the characters started exploring their feelings and relationship the story picked up and I really enjoyed the second half of this book.
