We get glimpses of legendary figures, see Simon develop his skills, and witness the foundation of some truly awesome bonds. Plus, keep an eye on George – they're a potential Shadowhunter powerhouse!

THIS ONE HAS WILL HERONDALE IN IT!!!! Absolutely made my day. Good story, and the fact that it contained Will, Tessa, and Jem made it all the better. Little Jamie is so cute with his spoon!

This was great! I loved hearing from Will and Tessa again. Reading about them make me so happy. They will always be an inspiration for me. Plus Gabriel and Will together was amazing!

Simon’s realizing his reasons why he was at the Academy... Well , I hope. You need to come back, Simon. It’s either you end up with Isabelle, or you end up with... ME!

Pretty good addition to the series. Seeing Jace is always comical and Tessa! We got to see Tessa! I loved this one. It had history, comedy, everything really. So far this is my favorite one that I read. 5 out of 5 stars.

Okay, sane review, here goes. Personally, Whitechapel Fiend is my favorite from all TFTSA books. Mostly because there's Will Herondale in it and how do people not love books with Will in them, is beyond me.
Ah, book started good enough, I suppose. Although with each book, I'm more and more losing interest in Simon + George + Shadowhunter Academy stuff. I just look forward to the "guests". Question? Why is everyone so out of character in TfTSA? Question #2? Why are 17 year olds coming to lecture Shadowhunters? Like, I get why Jace came, being top notch Shadowhunter and all, but still. It's weird.
Also if Idris is so high quality material, that they fixed all the damage Valentine did to Alicante in a matter of months, and made it better than ever, why is the Academy so bad? Why don't they care about future Shadowhunters? Why not? I mean, if you're going to go all over the world to find kids to join up, could you at least try not to give them a severe case of diarrhea? Seems logical.

I'm not hating, or anything. Just wondering.

Okay, positive notes. HERONGRAYSTAIRS!!!!!!!! 1!1!1!!1!1!!1!!!1!!!!1!1!1¹!!!!1!1!!1 IM CRYING SO HARD, ARE they for real? Jace showing up was literally such a treat for me, I didn't realize I missed him quite so much! And his sarcastic demeanor, oh my god. Wiggles! Wiggles! And what the fuck is he bringing up between Simon and Alec, oh my god. Alec is so going to freak when Simon confronts him about this and I'm willing to bet $5 that Jace will legit die laughing.
And I'm so glad Jace and Tessa finally had the talk about themselves and Tessa being his great great great something grandmother and that he could get some closure with his heritage.
One of the most beautiful lines in the book, the one where Simon thinks of him and Jace as two boys
one who lost his memories and the other who didn't know them

Apart from all the present time nonsense, let's look into the best part. The past. Honestly I was so happy we got something from Tessa's point of view because I've missed her so, so much and Will and Jem and James and his spoon, oh god. Do Gabriel and Cecily live with Tessa and Will though? In the Institute? Okay, yeah they probably do.

The bit where Tessa thought James died and she falls down, oh my god. That was an epic moment. When she calls for James and Jem comes and comforts her, I want to fly to LA or wherever Cassie lives, and thank her for this moment personally??? Thank you.
Thank you for Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs and Tessa Gray, thank you so much for The Infernal Devices and for the beauty that is herongraystairs.

🚨Spoiler Alert🚨 Any story that has Tessa, Will, & Jem, also mixed with Jace Herondale & Simon Lewis has to be good. This was a nice take on the story of Jack the Ripper. To think that a 5 year old ghost girl was going around looking for a mommy & just wanted to play & end up killing them in pieces instead. .........& Spoon!!

No me cerró para nada la historia de Jack el destripador, pero todo lo otro me gustó muchísimo. Volver a ver a Tessa y Jem, leer sobre el squad de Londres, ver a Jace y que este también esté luchando con su historia como Simon... me hizo bien, qué sé yo. A ver cómo reacciona Izzy ante la carta.
